MEDICS services in GP practices.
MEDICS practices offer a range of services which are traditionally delivered by hospitals.
Currently, not all practices offer all these services.
Unlike many areas of the UK, MEDICS practices also have access to an enhanced range of investigations like computerised tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for specified conditions.
During 2009-2010, MEDICS will be working with local hospitals to increase the range of investigations which are available to patients being cared for in the community.
